The memories and recollections project is an exciting oral history project which aims to capture and save the personal memories of members of the public with connections to St. Clements Church (Fore Street, Ipswich) before it became redundant as a place of worship in the 1970s. The stories gathered will help to illustrate the history of the church and when it becomes the Ipswich Arts Centre those stories will help keep the connection to the past.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help with the project. There are a variety of different roles available which will appeal to all ages and all levels of experience. Full training will be given. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain hands on experience within the heritage industry and boost your CV!
If you would like to get involved, or have a story to share please contact Nicola at firstname.lastname@example.org or simply fill in our contact us form.
We look forward to hearing from you.
